Mortal Remains Of 19-Year Old University Student Laid To Rest

The mortal remains of Oheneba Kofi-Nti-Boateng, a 19-year old student of the University of Ghana, Legon, who died from a fall, had been laid to rest at Kenyasi-Abirem in the Kwabre District amidst outpouring of pain and grief. Students from his former schools, Saint Lutheran Junior High School (JHS), Prempeh College, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Ghana, earlier thronged the Kwadaso Estate in Kumasi for the burial service. The parents, Mr and Mrs Nimako Boateng described his death as a terrible loss. The entire family has been left traumatized, they said, drawing tears from the large gathering of mourners. The Reverend Collins Okai of the Assemblies of God, who officiated at the service, encouraged the bereaved family to put their trust in God and draw strength from His inspiration in their difficult moments. Death, he said, should constantly remind all about the need to lead decent and upright life. The deceased was said to have died when he fell from the Pentagon Hostel at the University of Ghana after socializing with his friends on Thursday, October 27.
