NDC Descends On Akufo-Addo

The Propaganda Unit of the Northern Regional Secretariat of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said Nana Akufo-Addo's "win at all cost" comment is a mark of indiscipline. It also condemned the New Patriotic Party's flagbearer over his outburst in Germany that Ghana lacked visionary leadership to progress economically. At a media briefing in Tamale, the deputy propaganda secretary of the NDC in the north, Abdul-Mumin Alhassan, claimed Akufo-Addo is afraid he will lose the 2012 elections, hence his reckless comments on national discourse. He noted that the NPP leader has lost touch with realities on the ground in a manner that betrayed his lack of understanding on national issues in line with the "Better Ghana Agenda". On the biometric registration exercise, Alhassan said the NPPs posture reveals their cynical attitude towards the Electoral Commission (EC) as it prepares to conduct the exercise. He also described as laughable, Nana Addos pledge to make education free from the basic to Senior High School levels when he comes to power. Alhassan blamed the erstwhile NPP administration for the fallen standards of education in the country. He appealed to eligible Ghanaian voters to ignore Nana Addo and the NPP and retain President Mills come 2012 to enable him accomplish the Better Ghana agenda.
