Premier League side Tema Youth have asked head coach Tony Lokko to proceed on a two-week leave, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
Lokko has paid the fine for refusing to travel with the side to their week nine fixture to Heart of Lions which they surprisingly won 1-0.
A management meeting on Tuesday decided the former GHAPOHA player continued to stay away and re-join the side on 19 December.
He felt his position was being undermined after the Chief Executive opposed his decision to replace a striker with a defender against a lifeless Bechem United side.
Lokko�s was angered by that and as a result boycotted team�s training sessions ahead the next assignment.
�He came to aoplogize for his decision to abandon his job but he can�t join us now,� the club�s spokesperson Henry Asante Twum told GHANAsoccernt.com
�We are doing well now and want to keep our focus for now. He will re-join the team after we have played Hearts.�
Assistant coach Francis Quarcoo will still take charge of the team for the upcoming matches against Mighty Jets and Hearts of Oak.
Tema Youth have won three matches on the bounce and are above the relegation mark.
