CPP Youth Pledge Support To Party Executives

The youth of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) have declared their unyielding support for the party executives ahead of the 2012 general elections. The declaration was made at the party's youth meeting which was held yesterday. It follows a series of wranglings within the party including the exit of the partys 2008 flagbearer Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom. In the past week, some executives of the party including the Womens Organizer, Mary Ankomah and the Youth Organizer Murtala Mohammed, fell out with the party leadership leading to their indefinite suspension by the party. Earlier the Communications Director of the CPP, Nii Armah Akomfra told Citi News the meeting presented an opportunity for the party executives to touch base with the youth and find out what to expect from the party in the coming days. The CPP has been in existence for about 60 years and will continue to remain united in the face of all challenges, he promised in an interview earlier on Citi FMs political talk show, The Big Issues.
