We Need Dedicated Supporters To Unseat The NDC - Glover

Oscar Nii Odoi Glover, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for La Dade-Kotopon constituency, has said the party needed dedicated supporters to unseat the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government in the coming elections. He said the political battle ahead was not an easy one and appealed to the supporters to be prepared to sacrifice to achieve the ultimate result in the December elections. Mr Glover said this when he addressed polling station executives at a meeting dubbed Training the Trainers and it brought together included 117 polling officers from their respective wards and zones in the constituency. He said Ghanaians were going through difficult economic times and it was clear that they were yearning to vote back the NPP led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to government so that they would be saved from their predicament. Mr Glover said when given the nod as the Member of Parliament his priority would be to ensure that the state-of-the-art two storey La Market Complex building which had been on the drawing board for over eight years would be built. He said he would also ensure that sanitation improved in the area to save the people from contracting diseases. Mr Glover, a businessman, appealed to the constituency executives to take the lessons learnt at the training seriously so as to be able to impart them to their respective campaign teams. Mr Samuel Ampong, the NPP Greater Accra Director of Communication, took participants through the three important arms of public relations which included re-packaging, re-positioning and marketing. Nii Adjei Sowah, a resource person and the 2008 NPP parliamentary candidate for Odododiodoo, appealed to parliamentary contestants to undertake door-to-door campaigns with a message that would touch the hearts of the people to vote for the party.
