John Mensah Will Be Fit For Guinea Match

Ghana captain John Mensah is confident he can recover well in time to play a part in Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations final group game against Guinea. Ghana must avoid defeat to guarantee top spot in the group and stay in Franceville and Mensah claims he is getting better after the double agony of a red card and an injury against Botswana in the opening game. Mensah sat out training on Sunday morning but is available after serving his suspension providing coach Stevanovic with a pleasant selection headache as all four central defenders are available for the first time in the competition. "I'm feeling better with each passing day," Mensah said, according to KickoffGhana. "The doctor said after the scan in Libreville that it is a minor injury, I'm undergoing treatment and that in no time I will be back playing again." Mensah watched Ghana beat Mali from the sidelines and says he was delighted with the form of the side in his absence. "I was very excited that in my absence we won very well. I saw how they were all pumped up for this game in the morning of match day and I knew they meant business," he said.
