Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, has donated 15 dust bins to the Okuapeman Senior High School at Akropong to help maintain good sanitation and cleanliness at the school.
The Akuapem District Chief Executive, Mr George Opare-Addo, who made the presentation on behalf of the Minister, said it was in fulfillment of a pledge made last year by Mr Ofosu-Ampofo to support the school to manage waste and filth.
He said in line with the vision of proper waste management, government recognized the need for cleaned and sanitized environments and was therefore committed to all strategies that would ensure that communities including schools were rid of filth and waste.
He expressed the hope that the school would maintain the bins to help realize the purpose for which it was donated.
