Abokobi Mantse advises community members to promote peaceful elections

The Abokobi Mantse, Nii Samuel Adjetey Mohenu has asked his community members to exhibit high sense of discipline and maturity before, during and after the December general elections. To this end, he has, therefore made an appeal to all political and interest groups in the community to eschew the politics of insults and vilification in a bid to score cheap political points. Nii Mohenu gave the advice when he met with his council of elders and the Abokobi community during a general town meeting at the Zimmerman Memorial Congregation Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Abokobi in the Greater Accra Region. The meeting affords the chief, elders and the community members, the opportunity to chart a common path for the development of the town. He said a lot of developmental challenges faced the town and urged the people not to focus their attention on only politics to the detriment of developmental issues. On security, the chief appealed to government for assistance in the maintenance of street lights in the area and assured the Municipal Assembly of his preparedness to lend support to accelerate development in the area. The Ga East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr. Kwaw Sackey, said the Assembly was aware of the developmental challenges facing the town and would come to their aid.
