Standard Chartered Bank Ghana has presented a brand new VW Touareg from Universal Motors to Isaac Ibrahim, a customer of the bank at Opeibea branch, for emerging as the grand winner of the ‘Believe and Win’ Promotion held in May 2009. The promotion was outdoored during the launch of the bank’s Diva Club and Premium Account in November last year.

Customers who deposited GH¢300 into their current or savings account, therefore qualified for a coupon to enter in the two Draws. Vishu Ramachandran, Head of Standard Chartered for South Asia, Middle East, Africa and Europe, presented the keys to Mr. Ibrahim, and confirmed that the promotion was aimed at stimulating a new savings culture in the market, which was also intended to reward loyal customers, frequent depositors and new customers.

The occasion also witnessed the presentation of an Accra-Dubai-Accra air ticket, with US$500 spending money to Daniel Cobbina Denson, a customer of the Kejetia branch of the bank, while the second runner-up, Samuel Mensah, who is a customer with the Abeka branch, picked up a Plasma TV. Peter Tandoh-Enimil, the winner of a brand new VW Suran in a previous promotion, once again emerged as the fourth prize winner, taking home a laptop computer.

Listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange, Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited is a leading financial services brand, which enjoys recognition as the highest priced stock. The bank is also an award winner in the product innovation category, with a pedigree for rolling out innovative products in both consumer and wholesale banking; the bank has been operating in Ghana for over 113 years, and has a network of 42 automated teller machines, 21 branches and various corporate offices.

Its operating income and balance sheet have doubled over the last five years primarily due to their improved standard of service, risk management and the disciplined manner of their operations. In Africa, Standard Chartered is a leading brand with a network of over 140 branches and offices in 13 countries.
