Nana Katakyie Kwasi Afful II, Benkumhene of the Sefwi Bekwai Traditional area and a loyal customer of the Sefwi Wiawso branch of Access Bank Ghana has emerged the proud winner in the “Easy Access Promo”.

At a colourful presentation ceremony which took place at the bank’s head office in Accra, the elated and surprise winner, also known in private life as Mr. Francis Buabeng was presented with his sleek Hyundai ix35 by the Managing Director of Access Bank.

Presenting the keys to the car, Mr. Dolapo Ogundimu, MD of Access Bank Ghana noted that “The Easy Access Promo had lived up to its promise of promoting financial inclusion and deepening the savings culture in Ghana by rewarding loyal customers for their patronage”.

According to him, Access Bank will leverage on its new business and personal banking strategies that would offer a breath of fresh air and satisfaction in the retail and SME market space in 2014.

“SME’s constitute about 70% of the enterprises in Ghana and part of our plan is to give them entrepreneurial and managerial skills set to ensure that they grow their businesses in such a way as to contribute to the larger Ghanaian economy.

“…We also want to improve the economic fortunes of women, through our Gender Empowerment model. We will single out women entrepreneurs for support to help create wealth in that segment our economy,” He added.

In a short speech after the presentation, Nana Katakyie Kwasi Afful II expressed joy and commended Access Bank for their decision to reward its customers via promotions.

“I had no idea that I had been entered into the Easy Access Promo even though I received notification on my phone with an electronic voucher. I didn’t believe in lottery and never paid attention to the messages I received on my phone. So I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call last week that I had won the ultimate prize, I had to quickly call my branch manager to confirm I had actually won. This is truly fantastic!” he said

Other winners of the promo also took away exciting prizes including generator sets, LED TVs, smart phones, DVD players and lots of Access Bank souvenirs.

The grand draw was attended by customers, the media and staff of the bank and a representative from the National Lotteries Authority (NLA).
