Ghana’s construction industry is one sector that holds so much promise in the development of the economy of the nation.

The Managing Director of EYE-CON, Mr Mouhammad Hamidi, in an interview with journalists stated that the company is apprehensive about the poor housing in the country hence their decision to invest in estate construction.

“A place you call home must feel different and comfortable. But you can bear with me that you sometimes enter a home and it feels like you are outside. This is because of the quality of that house. If the right materials are used to build a house, the feeling inside is different from the outside”, Mr Hamidi said.

Although Ghana has recorded a huge deficit in terms of housing, the managing director for EYE-CON was optimistic the gap could be closed soon.

He assured Ghanaians of their preparedness to aid the residential, commercial and industrial sector.

Even though the industry is a budding one, the potential is so enormous it has been recognized as a sector that will propel the expansion of the country’s infrastructure.

After so much concern about poor quality projects by contractors, there is light at the end of the tunnel for people who have always wished for a transformation in the industry.

The most sophisticated and modern buildings that exist in advanced countries can be constructed RIGHT here in Ghana without sourcing for expertise outside the country. Thanks to EYE – CON Construction Limited.

EYE-CON has demonstrated its capabilities in various residential, commercial and industrial projects and has provided expertise and highly trained professionals in the execution of huge international projects such as the construction of the Jeddah Train Station in Saudi Arabia and ultramodern edifices in Abu Dhabi.

With expertise in all the major fields in construction to deliver the best quality and service available on the market, EYE – CON Limited has successfully completed projects of the highest global standards right here in Ghana.

EYE – CON erected the KANE-EM Industries Ltd. building in North Industrial Area only in 20 days. The steel structure which stands at 25meters in height is the tallest steel building in West Africa.

Research has shown that in every country, the construction industry constitutes a large part of the economy. The infrastructure provided by the construction industry is the backbone of the economy. It creates a system that enables productive activities such as the production of goods and services and its distribution both within and outside the country.

The quality of our designs and construction facilities provides the maximum efficiency to enable industries achieve the best results.

Studies show that construction contributes between 5 and 10 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) in all countries, employs up to 10 percent of the working population, and is responsible for about half of the gross fixed capital formation.

It is estimated that investments in housing alone account for 2 to 8 percent of GNP; between 10 and 30 percent of gross capital formation; between 20 and 50 percent of accumulated wealth; and between 10 and 40 per cent of household expenditure.

EYE – CON Limited is one such company that is doing so well in contributing their quota to national development due to a large number of indigenous employees who perform various tasks in construction projects which are executed with the highest international standards.

EYE – CON Limited has a mission which is the development of human capital. This is one of the pillars of the company which aims to empower employees to the higher benefit of society.

Our finished construction projects speak volumes and the satisfaction of providing such world class facilities to expand the economy gives us the motivation to even do more in research to exceed the standards of our previous projects.
