Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Ademola Oluseyi Onafowokan has commended Ghanaian-owned international beverage firm, Kasapreko Company Limited (KCL) and its Founder Dr Kwabena Adjei for deepening existing trade ties between the two countries.

According to the High Commissioner, Dr Adjei, also the Group Chairman of KCL has contributed to the development of the African story economically by using the Kasapreko brand to foster deeper ties between Ghana and Nigeria.

“It gives me great pleasure to use the medium to recognize and commend your immense contributions to the development of the African story economically and most importantly, using your brand to foster deeper relationship between our two countries, Ghana and Nigeria,” His Excellency Ademola Oluseyi wrote in a Letter of Commendation dated February 12, 2015. The letter was accompanied with a plague.

The Nigerian High Commissioner stated that the success story of Kasapreko on the African continent has “endeared many in Africa” and to go beyond the mile.

He opined that the quality production of Kasapreko beverages was an example of what a “good African company could represent” in terms of quality.

Founded in 1989 in Nungua, a suburb of Accra, Kasapreko started operations in Nigeria in 2010. Nigeria is the second-largest market for Kasapreko with their flagship brand, Alomo Bitters leading the way.

The 2014 CIMG Manufacturing Company of Year is the market leader in the bitters industry in Nigeria and it is said to be the most successfully Ghanaian-owned company operating in Nigeria.
