The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to establishing a Women’s Development Bank if elected into power.
Speaking in an interview on Radio1 Morning Show she explained that the bank will empower female entrepreneurs who face challenges accessing loans from financial institutions.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang stated that the next NDC government will create job opportunities, reduce financial barriers, and boost the businesses of female entrepreneurs.
“The Women’s Development Bank will be established to empower female entrepreneurs and small business owners by providing low-interest loans, financial education and sustainable support,” she told the host Nana Kwabena Addo.
“This initiative will create job opportunities and bring down the financial barriers that many women face when starting and sustaining businesses,” Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang said.
She explained that the initiative would boost the businesses of female entrepreneurs and curb the harassment they often face when seeking loans.
