Former President Kufuor has dedicated his World Food Prize Foundation Award to the Republic of Ghana and it is certainly the right thing to do.

It is a matter of fact that Kufuor would not have won the award if Ghanaians did not give him the opportunity to become President of the Republic and so the decision by the former President to show appreciation and gratitude to Mother Ghana is very commendable.

Also, it is highly commendable that the Government of Ghana did the right and honourable thing by congratulating former President Kufuor for being recognized by the Foundation for whatever contribution he made to alleviating poverty in Ghana.

Indeed, if it is true that President Atta Mills personally called Kufuor via phone to congratulate him, then the sitting President has exhibited a lot of maturity and really proven that he is very much committed to changing the face of governance as he strives to build a Better Ghana.

It is a matter of fact however that, way back in 1993, President Jerry John Rawlings also received the same award on behalf of the People of Ghana. President Rawlings did not only dedicate his Award to Ghana; the people-centered President Rawlings donated the prize money of $50,000 to be used as the seed money for the establishment of the University of Development Studies (UDS), which has produced graduates like Anthony Karbo, National Youth Organiser of the NPP.

President Rawlings, who does not believe in the right-wing philosophy of, property-stealing, property-owning, property-grabbing, as well as swimming in nauseating personal wealth, donated his prize money of $50,000 for the establishment of a university; which has blossomed into a fully fledged university giving quality education to scores of Ghanaians.

The question that is on the lips of many Ghanaians is; What is Kufuor going to do with his prize money of $250,000?

It is not a hidden fact that Kufuor is greedy and loves money. Kufuors extreme love for money is legendary! Kufuor did not hide the fact that he entered politics to make money; and not to better the lot of Ghanaians. If Kufuor had his way, as President, he would have pocketed all the wealth of Ghana.

Kufuors insatiable love for money is what led him to taking a disgraceful decision to be the Board Chairman of the Bui Dam Development project. It is Kufuors love for money that led him to turn the Castle in the nerve center for collecting kickback.

For a fact, it is Kufuors love for money that led him to hand over Ghana to the international drug barons for the cocaine monies to flow waa waa waa. Indeed, Kufuors love for money is what made him increase his per diem tenfold, and also resulted in his travelling on the average of twice a month for the 8 years that he was President of Kwame Nkrumahs Ghana.

President Atta Mills does not collect per diem when he travels; Kufuor collected fat per diem and also pocketed colossal amounts of unaccountable imprest. So, for a person who loves money than his image, what is Kufuor going to do with $250,000?

Kufuor has dedicated the Award to Ghana; Fine!! Will Kufuor go ahead and donate the prize money to support the growth of education in the country?

If Kufuor won the Award because he managed to alleviate poverty; will he donate the money to deepen his supposed fight against poverty? Or the money-loving person that Kufuor is, he will keep the money in his pocket and chop it nyafu-nyafu?

Will Kufuor keep the $250,000 in his pocket and use it to fund his love for Chevas Regal Whisky?

Will Kufuor keep the money in his pocket and use it fund his numerous travels abroad?

Will Kufuor have the balls to let go of $250,000 just as President Rawlings was man enough to let go of his $50,000?

Ghanaians are waiting with bated breath to see whether the money-worshiping John Agyekum Kofi Diawuo 50 Cents Kufuor will behave like a greedy bastard and hold on to the $250,000, or put his critics to shame and donate the money to a worthy course.

Ayekoo to former President John Agyekum Kofi Diawuo Kufuor for his Award and the prize money of $250,000; what he does with the money will determine whether he will enter the HALL OF FAME, or HALL OF SHAME!!!
