We, youth of Wassa Amenfi East are grateful to President Akufo Addo and the ruling NPP government for the confidence and trust reposed in the youth of this country. We appreciate the opportunities given to intelligent and competent individuals like Hon. Asenso Boakye, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor, Hon. Richard Ebbah Obeng, Hon. Fatimatu Abubakar, just to mention a few to serve in government and make Ghana better.

There is no gainsaying the important role of the youth in national development. It is on the back of this that we the youth of Amenfi East respectfully plead with His Excellency President Akufo-Addo and the NPP government to nominate for appointment, Mr Frederick Kumah as the next Municipal Chief Executive for Amenfi East.

From a humble beginning, Mr Frederick Kumah has a Bachelor's degree in Social Science Education from the University for Development Studies (UDS), majoring in History, Social, Political studies. He is awaiting his Master's Degree in Public Policy and Management as an Economist in that field.

Mr Kumah is thirty-one (31) years old. He is a smart, intelligent, competent and hardworking young man who has demonstrated unalloyed loyalty, total commitment and resilience in championing the course of the NPP in Amenfi East and at the national level (through communication) since 2011.

He is the obvious choice of the youth, opinion leaders and traditional leaders in the Municipality.

He is a unifier who appeals to all sides - very humble, friendly, well composed and can bridge the long standing unity gap in the NPP.

He has been at the forefront of the NPP’s youth mobilization and grassroots political activism and has created a strong reputation for himself over the years. Mr Kumah is very affable and relates well with every class of people in the constituency.

As the Municipal National Service Director, he has assisted the youth in his jurisdiction to secure permanent Jobs, National Service and School placements, as well as Scholarships for people in the constituency.

His love for the people and efforts to build youth capacities in the Municipality is remarkable and we sincerely believe that with the least opportunity given he can move our Municipality to the very next level we all aspire to see.

Mr Kumah is the best fit for this job and we believe he can do it better than anybody else. It is on this backdrop that we appeal to the leadership of the NPP to appoint our celebrated youth, Mr Kumah as the next MCE.

It is worthy to mention that our demographic structure has changed significantly. And we, the youth constitute seventy percent (70%) of our total voter population. The NDC in 2016 appointed a youthful DCE and today, he has been elected as the Member of Parliament for the constituency.

On the contrary, the NPP since the inception of multiparty democracy has not given the youth a chance or a position in leadership in the constituency. The constituency has always been an experimental grounds for Affirmative action anytime the NPP gets the opportunity to form a government with the nominations of Hon. Doris Agyapomaa Oduro as DCE (2004 - 2008) and Hon. Helena Amoakoa Appiah (2017 - 2021). Meanwhile, their performances over the years are nothing good to write home about.

We believe this is the perfect time for the NPP to demonstrate good faith and acknowledge the contributions and sacrifices of the youth in the Amenfi East constituency over the past 10 years. We are of a very firm belief that the party’s leadership from the Constituency, Regional  National and the President hear our humble plea.

Mr Kumah’s nomination will help the NPP to regain and maintain its grip of the youth base, which will culminate into the party's victory in the Amenfi East Constituency, come 2024.

We count on your cooperation.

Thank you.

Signed
