On personal levels, I say to this phenomenal soul full of love and life that, Sheikh [as we call him], you are a monumental blessing to me and everyone around you. You offered me a rare privilege to work directly under you as then Information Minister, where you guided us to work at changing the unenviable narrative of Ghana’s Information Ministry from Government’s propaganda outfit to the citadel of Development Communication, with emphasis on honesty, transparency and truthfulness.
Your free spirit full of love and happiness is one of the things I cherish most about you. Your level of intelligence and wisdom surpasses many, and your gentle soul makes me wonder what an angel you are. You gave me hope where I had once lost it. You showed me light and also showed me the way when I struggled to find one. You are indeed a rare gem and I will keep celebrating you every day of my life.
In accord with this, I feel delighted to join the rest of the World to celebrate you on the momentous occasion of your 50th birthday and for that matter your Golden Jubilee Anniversary. It has indeed been 50 years of impactful life to our generation; 50 years of great achievements; 50 years of selfless service to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and to God and country. Stay blessed and keep soaring by Allah’s grace.
