The National Democratic Congress wishes to announce a change of date for the filing of nominations for regional elections in the ten (10) regions created or affected by the creation of the new regions from the previously announced Monday 22nd - 23rd April, 2019 to Tuesday 23rd – 24th April, 2019.
This has been necessitated by the need for convenience in filing of nominations on a working day, so as to allow prospective aspirants have access to banking and other filing related services, especially as Monday 22nd April is a public holiday (Easter Monday).
Secondly, for the avoidance of doubt, members are to take note, that decisions made by Regional Executives of the parent regions to assume or contest for positions in the newly created regions, takes effect from 25th May, 2019, when elections have been conducted and officers duly sworn-in in all affected regions.
We use this opportunity to wish all aspirants the best of luck.
Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah
(General Secretary)

I hope if EC also announces a change of date, NDC would not say that is incompetence. Or a change it's not the case if it's done by NDC.
