Gareth Bale was an unused substitute as his fall-out with Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane hit a new low, and the team's season ended in a 2-0 home defeat to Real Betis.
Bale did not even warm-up and ended the day heading straight down the tunnel as Madrid's season ended in whistles and recrimination from supporters, and a further drop in temperature between the player and his coach.
There were whistles for the players at the end of the game as they applauded supporters but Bale played no part in the on-pitch thanks. He disappeared down the tunnel after saying hello to Betis physio Marcos Alvarez, who he knows from his Tottenham days.
