The Bibiani Circuit Court, presided over by Mr. Baptise Kwadwo Filson, has sentenced a farm labourer to 15 years imprisonment for defilement.
Kombati Damora, 52, defiled 13-year old girl at Sefwi-Akontombra and pleaded guilty to the crime.
Police Chief Inspector Lucky Goglomi told the court that the incident happened on November 11, last year.
The girl had been sent by her big brother to collect cassava from the convict on the farm, when he seized and sexually assaulted her.
The prosecution said when the victim returned she told the story and a formal report was consequently made to the police and he was arrested.
