President John Dramani Mahama has described the Late Prof Marian Ewurama Addy as a great daughter of Ghana and strong advocate of girl-child in science education.
He said Prof Ewurama Addy's advocacy informed government's decision to provide scholarship packages for 5,000 students to pursue science and technology courses.
President Mahama said this in a tribute when the family of Prof Ewurama Addy, led by the Mpontuhen of Nankesedo Saltpond in the Central Region, Nana Anyensah officially informed the President of the death, burial and final funeral rites for the former hostess of the Brilliant Science and Maths Quiz.
