Member of the Ghana medical Association (GMA) has threatened to embark on another strike action soon if governments agreement to resolve their concerns is not immediately attended to.
Speaking to Joy News yesterday afternoon, the president of the GMA, Dr. Kwabena Opoku-Adusei said if government fails to immediately deal with their concerns about restoring and paying their conversion differences as agreed in their last meeting to call off their long strike, doctors will resume their strike.
According to him, the position the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) had taken was perturbing and gives indication to the doctors that their concerns might never be addressed.
Dr. Opoku-Adusei in plain words stated that they are faced with no option but to embark on another strike action if the FSWC does not help resolve their challenges.
GMA however, has called on the council of state, the clergy and all Ghanaians to put pressure on government to fulfill its part of the agreement within the one month period promised by the National Labour Commission (NLC).
