Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Daniel Ansong-Dankyi, Tema Regional Commander of the Motor Transport and Traffic Unit (MTTU), has assured the travelling public that traffic jam on the Tema Motorway would be controlled.
In an interview with GNA in Tema on Friday, DSP Ansong-Dankyi explained that the jam occurred in the morning and evening, the rush hours of the day, when workers rushed to workplaces.
He said the heavy vehicular traffic was also due to abandoned broken down vehicles on the road and gave the assurance that the MTTU would ensure that all such vehicles were towed and deploy enough personnel to help control traffic on the Motorway.
DSP Ansong-Dankyi appealed to drivers and other road users to adhere strictly to traffic rules and regulations and cooperate with MTTU personnel to ensure swift flow of traffic and to avoid motor accidents.
