REMAINS of a dismembered boy of eight have been discovered in a freezer two days after he vanished while walking home. Leibby Kletzky disappeared after asking a stranger for help when he got lost.
CCTV footage showed the youngster asking Levi Aron, 35, for directions before getting into his car. When detectives arrived at Aron's flat in Brooklyn, New York, they asked where the boy was and he nodded towards the kitchen.
Cops saw blood stains on the freezer and found knives, a cutting board and the lad's feet inside.
The rest of Leibby's body was found in a red suitcase in a rubbish bin nearby. Aron was arrested and has confessed to the crime which has shocked the tight-knit Jewish community where Leibby lived. Thousands of mourners gathered for his funeral yesterday.
New York Police Department Commissioner Ray Kelly said: "This is every parent's nightmare. That's what makes this so horrific. "It's just a terrible, terrible tragedy."
