There has been a loud explosion at the offices of a major newspaper in Nigeria's capital, Abuja.
It was caused by a bomb planted inside the newspaper's office, AP news agency quotes the Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency as saying.
Three people are reported to have been killed in the blast at ThisDay newspaper, a Red Cross official at the scene told Reuters.
There has also been a blast in the northern city of Kaduna, witnesses say.
The explosion in the capital occurred at around 11:30 GMT.
Police and paramilitary forces have surrounded the Abuja office.
"The ceiling of our building collapsed on to our computers because of the force of the blast," an Abuja office worker in the building next door told the BBC's Focus on Africa programme.
