Six people were killed in a fatal accident on Wednesday night at Abofo in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
The accident occurred when seven vehicles including an articulated truck crashed.
Fourteen other persons who sustained various degrees of injuries were rushed to the Offinso Government Hospital.
The Offinso District Commander of the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Unit, ASP Asiamah Amponsah confirmed the accident to Citi News and stated that the injured persons included three children.
He said: �The information we had was that an articulated truck was coming from Techiman and there was a Tata truck which was also coming from Offinso and on reaching Abofo township, the Tata truck tried to overtake some vehicles ahead of it and in the process, the driver cited the articulated truck but because of the short distance, it collided with the Tata truck and it also run over five other trucks.�
