The Electoral Commission has certified seven political parties and an Independent Candidate Jacob Osei Yeboah to contest the presidential election in December.
They are the NPP, PPP, NDC and UFP. The rest are PNC, GCPP and CPP.
The Commission rejected the forms of the NDP, IPP, NVP and GFP.
The URP got to the EC after 5 pm and was automatically disqualified.
Attempts to speak to representatives of the NDP failed because their representative Ernest Owusu Bempah refused to talk to the media.
Mr Kofi Akpaloo of the IPP said he was not worried about his disqualification.
Prophet Daniel Nkansah of the NVP told journalists that he believed his efforts have been frustrated because he is a man of God.
The Leader of the Ghana Freedom Party Akua Donkor however threatened to seek court injunction to prevent the EC from conducting the elections in December.
Meanwhile Dr Afari Djan has appealed to all political parties to help make the election a success.
He urged the ruling party to try to avoid abuse of incumbency.
