Government has directed the Ghana Education Service (GES) to ensure that schools which force students to practice religion against their will to stop.
The President John Dramani Mahama, gave the directive when he addressed this years open air prayers at the Black Stars Square in Accra to mark the Eid-Ul-Adha.
He said Ghana is a circular state and everybody must be given the right to practice their religion as enshrined in the constitution.
President Mahama also charged electorate to be vigilant during election day to ensure a peaceful election.
