A group calling itself Concerned Mobile Phone and Accessory Dealers has asked government to reconsider the 20 percent tariff put on the importation of mobile phones and accessories.
Speaking at a news conference, its secretary,Isaac Opoku-Aboagye, said government should rather restrict itself to talk taxes to increase its income generation.
He said if the tariff is sustained, it could affect most of the dealers.
Meanwhile, most mobile phone and accessory dealerships in Accra are closed in protest against the tariff increase.
