The Cantonments Police says it is working around the clock to unveil the cause of death of the police officer assigned to the residence of the former Speaker of Parliament Ebenezer Sekyi Hughes on night duty.
The 34 year old Lance Corporal Bernard Salabi was found dead at 7am Monday at the residence of the former Speaker.
Cantonments Police Commander, Superintendent Alex Kumangtani told Joy News the autopsy report will be ready soon.
He said the deceased was discovered motionless with some yellowish substance dropping from the mouth as well as blood oozing from the nose.
The Crime Scene unit of the police was immediately called to the scene to examine the body before being conveyed to the Police Hospital morgue.
Initial investigation shows that there were no violent marks on the body, Supt. Kumangtani noted.
