Mr Stephen Okudzeto, General Secretary of the GPRTU asked members of the Union to charge the newly approved lorry fares to reflect the five per cent decrease announced by the Unions.
In a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency, on Wednesday, the General Secretary warned that the management of the Union would sanction recalcitrant drivers.
Information reaching us indicates that some recalcitrant members of our Union have refused the National Working Committees directive to review our operational fares by five per cent and are still charging the old fares, he said.
He said such behaviour exhibited indiscipline, which must not be tolerated.
