The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has disconnected electricity supply to the Nsawam-Adoagyere Municipal, Electoral Commission (EC) office for non-payment of bills.
According to them, the EC office owes the power producers a whooping amount of GHC 4, 000 for a period of eight years.
ECG disconnected the power supply to the commission February this year.
The Electoral Commission protective officer for Nsawam,Daniel Osabutey expressed worry at the incident, saying the disconnection has affected their service delivery.
He said they cannot replace client lost voters ID cards which have become a hindrance to their activities at work.
Daniel Osabutey therefore appealed to government to immediately help them pay the bills.
