The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) on Monday called on members to contest for the district level elections.
“We urge all our members, who are qualified, eligible, and willing to take part in the district level elections to pick nomination forms in good time,” a statement signed by Mr. Isaac Bampoe Addo, CLOGSAG Executive Secretary, to the Ghana News Agency stated.
It said, “Any CLOGSAG member, who might overtly or covertly be pressurized, intimidated or prohibited from exercising their right during the impending elections should contact the national officers.”
"The CLOGSAG assures members that they are empowered by the 1992 Constitution and the Local Government Act, 1993 to take active part in the District Level Elections.
“You are being reminded of your civic responsibilities, which include support and participation in district level elections,” the statement said.
