About 20 holiday merrymakers are in critical condition at the Tafo Governmental Hospital and the Hawa Memorial Hospital after they fell off from the Bunso Arboretum Canopy Walkway.
The Canopy Walkway, which is in the East Akyem Municipality of the Eastern Region, loosed as the people walk on it.
The Bunso Arboretum Eco-tourism forest reserve is managed by the Plant Genetic Resources Research Institute, PGRRI, of the Center for Scientific and Industrial Research, CSIR.
According to Peace FM's correspondent, Michael Akrofi, the people who were mainly school children sustained serious injuries ranging from head injuries to brain tumour.
The cause of the accident on the 320-metre stretch walkway remains sketchy.
