Dr Abdul Nashiru Issahaku, governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) has resigned.
It’s however unclear what led to his resignation which will take effect from the 1st of April, 2017.
Dr Issahaku was appointed by former President John Dramani Mahama last year following the resignation of Dr. Henry Wampah.
Prior to his appointment as Governor, he was the the Second Deputy Governor of the BoG.
He worked with the World Bank as a Senior Public Sector Specialist, the African Development Bank (ADB) as a Principal Governance Expert and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa as a Development Management Officer.
He was also a Socio-Economic Advisor and Project Coordinator for the Canadian International Development Agency.
