President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will on Tuesday, November 7, launch the Accelerated Oil and Gas Capacity (AOGC) Programme at the Regional Maritime University, Accra.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Energy and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Monday said the launch was in fulfilment of the Government’s campaign promise of aggressively investing in education and skills enhancement of Ghanaians to manage the oil and gas sector.
It said the programme would build capacity in four thematic areas namely: technical, vocational, apprenticeship development and utilisation; capacity development of educational institutions; small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) capacity building; and public institutional development and sector management.
