The District Chief Executive for the Ahafo Ano South-East District in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Joseph Agyeman Dapaah has unveiled new plans for massive development for the district.
The new plan dubbed “help yourself and let me help you” seeks to bring massive infrastructure development to the district through the use of Communal Labour.
By this scheme, all towns and communities in the district are to revive the spirit of Communal Labour to initiate the basic development needs whilst the assembly supports with logistics and items needed for such projects.
Hon. Joseph Agyeman Dapaah entreated all communities to initiate projects like Toilet, School Blocks, CHPS Compounds etc. through Communal Labour and would be fully supported by the District Assembly.
Hon. Dapaah consequently announced a package of fifty (50) bags of cement and ten (10 iron sheets for any community or town that initiates its own development projects through Self Help.
The DCE unveiled this plan at Nsuta in the Ahafo Ano South-East District when a grand durbar was held in his honour on Tuesday, 30th October, 2018.
Nana Ama Konadu, Nsutahemaa who chaired the durbar, lauded the plan introduced by the DCE and urged the youth in the area to embrace the plan for the rapid transformation of the area.
Nana Ama Konadu entreated all traditional leaders in the District to rekindle the Communal spirit in their community and take advantage of the DCE’s plan as a means to have their share of the National Cake.
