The Lead Pastor of the Cedar Mountain Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Dr. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, says until he gets further explanations from Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi on his viral preaching, he will not condemn his fellow preacher.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, he said “We have to hear his explanation on why he said that before I can take any decision.”
The founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Ministries International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, courted controversy this weekend when he described women within Coastal lands of Ghana as unwise and unmarriageable materials, admonishing prospective husbands not to marry from that tribe compared to others in some parts of the country.
“Fanti women are foolish sometimes, and Ewes too are doormats. But for Ashanti women no!” He warned.
According to the controversial preacher, despite women from Ashanti tribes being wise, he will not allow any of his sons or close relations to marry from Ashanti tribes because of their ingratitude to their husbands.
“If you marry Ashanti lady, you have imported problem for yourself forever. I have done research and it is so”, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi told his congregation how he arrived at that conclusion.

Please give us a break man of God ,You think we are ***barred word*** in this country? If it were to be a so called NPP pastors who said this like you will be telling the christian council to conderm tha act.Because it's your own see what you are saying ,this is what I call "Double standard".men of God in this country are all politicians bidding for their parties to come to power. Unless you hear from him, look at a man of God speak
prophet Badu Kobi was right oooo what he said was absolute truth
I DON'T UNDERSTAND THESE ASANTES KORAA, HE SAID YOU ARE JUST GREEDY K3K3,THIS IS JUST A WHOLE PRICE. WANTING EVERYTHING IN MARRIAGE. THAT IS OKAY AT LEAST TO ME BECAUSE TO SAY FANTE WOMEN ARE ***barred word***....KW3333333,,FOOOOOLS PAAAAAA? BUT I AM YET TO SEE A DULL EWE..THIS PASTOR IS SIMPLY A PIG WITH NO MIND
We should make life above these generalizations. It will divide us as a people. One of the major reason why Africa as a continent cannot unite is because of this tribalistic tendencies, even if we cannot contain ourselves in one country, how can it be people for the whole continent.
There is some truth in the whole thing... my own ewe sister was severely maltreated by her husband to the extent that her own a Shanti lady friends did tell hell that it can not happen to any Ashanti woman. Instead of him reporting to the police in Europe, she did not so doormat. At long last, my sister got sick and died. ...so there may be some truth but maybe they way it was generalised.
If you are not enjoying your relationship your Ashante woman just say so and leave us to enjoy our better relationship with our Ashante women. Just because you have issues and experiences with ONE Ashante woman doesn't means all of them are the same and this is the point we are making which you are deliberately refusing to admit. A so called man of should be able to unite people not divide them. How could he even think that Fante women are "sometimes" ***barred word*** and Ewes "doormats".
LIKE badu kobi are ndc members or sympathizers so why should uyou guys be surprised that he said he needs clarification from his party member. You guys should research more about these ndc guys.TWEAAAA
pastor Wengam you can interpret the bible without waiting for Jesus to come or Moses to come and preach again. This is simple english, yet you need wath?
Pastor Wengam, I am very disappointed in you What explanation again do you need. I listen to you very much on Citi FM in the early mornings and had great respect for you. you have made to rethink whether you are to be followed as a man of principles. as Nelson Mandela once said a man who changes his principles depending on the person he is dealing with is not fit to be a leader. that is all that I will say to you.
Hahahaha...he wants the prophet to justify himself. Maybe he too has experience he wants to share. But whatever be the case, the prophet is not well informed. where did he do his research? what sample size was used? they do this and get cheap PhDs and saying anything that comes into their head. How many Ashanti women has he counselled in his church to stop that behaviour. As a man of God he knows very well that no one is perfect but do not associate certain social ills on certain tribe; it only bring ethnic conflicts. The prophet should know better. Doesn't he have any Ashanti woman in his church who gives offering every Sunday. It is the same money the Ashanti women get from their husbands that has bought him the luxury cars and houses. Why should you call Ewe women f --ls? This is very bad no matter his explanation and I expected the pastor to condemn the prophet. What is wrong is wrong
