Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland, HE Papa Owusu-Ankomah has suggested to Ghanaian-owned media houses in the UK to help in projecting the good deeds of the country and government to the rest of the world.
“You play a vital role in our educating and informing members of the Ghanaian community, and I should like to suggest you use your positions to raise the image of our country”. Papa advised.
The High Commissioner was giving his welcome remarks at a “meet the press” session he had with a cross section of the Ghanaian owned media in the UK.
HE Owusu-Ankomah was assisted by his deputy, Mrs Rita Tani Iddi and other sectional heads of the mission in fielding questions from the media on the various aspects of the UK mission’s mandate, and the various services it provides to Ghanaian nationals resident in the UK and Ireland.
He appealed to Ghanaians resident in the UK to be law abiding and worthy ambassadors of Ghana.
