Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan has lamented over the gruesome killing of Mfantseman MP, Ekow Kwansah Hayford.
"I’ve been hit at the core . . . he was a committed representative of the people," he told Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview Friday morning.
The MP who many have described as 'affable' was reportedly shot dead by highway robbers at Friday dawn while he was returning from a campaign trip.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Kwamena Duncan said in as much as it is only God who gives protection, Parliamentary candidates, MPs, and others must also be responsible for their safety and protection.
"We must be careful of where we go, what we eat because we are not in normal times . . . our condolence goes to the family," he commiserated with the family.
