The CEO of the State Transport Corporation (STC), Nana Akomea has bemoaned the testing fee for COVID-19 at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
Flight passengers entering Ghana are mandated to pay $150 for a rapid test at the airport.
The test is aimed at stopping the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
However, the passengers have complained bitterly about the fee stressing it is expensive.
They argued that some foreign countries charge far less; so they don't understand why Ghana's charge should hit such astronomical height.
Speaking to host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo'', Nana Akomea called on the airport authorities to pay a listening ear to the passengers.
He asked the authorities to reduce the fee if it's costly to the travelers.
"I've heard people say the $150 fee is expensive. The airport authorities should take a second look at the fee and reduce it. But if they can't reduce it, they should explain it to the understanding of the people," he stated.
