The CEO and founder of Accra-based Radio Gold, Sainti Baffoe-Bonnie, has passed on.
Mr Baffoe-Bonnie popularly known as Baboo reportedly died Monday, February 1, 2020.
Radio Gold is one of the pioneer private radio stations in Ghana that started broadcasting in the mid 1990s.
The National Communications Authority (NCA) shut down the station in 2019 for non renewal of license.
The NCA said the station's license expired in 2000, but failed to renew it, as required by law.
