The Management of Despite Media Group has reacted to a viral video wherein Kwame Nkrumah 'Tikesie', host of OkayFM's "Ade Akye Abia" morning show was seen expressing his thoughts on Afia Pokuaa 'Vim Lady' hosting what the former described as an 'e-programme' (airing her show via an online platform).
The said video has generated mixed feelings on social media with some wondering if Vim Lady had been sacked.
Despite Media in a statement said, it "has taken notice of the recent comments by Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie".
However, "Management wishes to inform the general public that, it is aware of Afia Pokua's absence from the country as well as her virtual 'Gyaso Gyaso' program, having approved and sanctioned same. As an organisation, it is within our rights to grant a staff leave, with or without salary depending on the circumstance and this is no exception".
According to the company, Tikesie's "personal opinion does not in any way represent the position of management or the agreement reached with Afia Pokua on her absence and virtual program.
"We wish to assure our loyal listeners that their best interest will always be considered in every decision taken now and in the future" the statement added.
