Religion is growing at an appreciable speed in Ghana. More than 98 percent of the countrys total population now belongs to one form of religion or the other, according to the 2010 population and Housing census report.
The figure represents more than 6 percent jump from the 2000 census figures.
But as the country becomes more religious, there seem to be a growing moral decadence.
Ghanaians as spiritual as they are, have relied on spiritual leaders for directions. One may therefore ask, should President Mahama set up a ministry to deal with the rising moral problems as he sets up his government?
Meanwhile the countrys political leaders have been called upon to seek the guidance of prophets and men of God in prosecuting their vision once theyve won elections.
Some religious leaders predicts that Ghana could be a very prosperous nation if apply the principles of God in our governance.
