Five people are reported dead with three others seriously injured in a road accident on Wednesday between the Osiem junction and the Bunso junction around Lindador in the Eastern region.
The accident occurred between a mini bus with registration number GR 5071-12 and a tipper truck with registration number GR 5317- A.
The tipper truck was reported to have skidded off the road causing the accident. The dead have since been sent to the Tafo government hospital morgue for autopsy.
An eyewitness who spoke to Citi News said the 5 persons died on the spot as the two vehicles collided.
Meanwhile the Police say the accident may have been caused by the rain.
