President John Dramani Mahama has officially opened to traffic, two flyovers at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra. Speaking at the ceremony, President Mahama hoped the flyovers will bring considerable relief to commuters who ply the Kwame Nkrumah Circle road on a daily basis.
He said it will also “enable the contractor working on the project to move some of the traffic onto the two flyovers and create space to concentrate on the work remaining to be done.” President Mahama noted that a third flyover, which is bigger than the other two is also progressing steadily and would be opened to traffic soon after its completion.
The President added that a new statue of Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkramah and other ancillary facilities are underway to beautify the area and will be completed before the middle of 2016.
