The people of Dzindziso in the Kadjebi district had a windfall when the registration number of a bird suspected to have migrated from Germany turned out to be two of the numbers on the National Lottery Authority (NLA) draw last Saturday.
Almost everyone in the community was said to have won the lottery on that Saturday with some winning as much as GH¢4,000.
Speaking to The Mirror on the fortune, a teacher in the town, Mr Maurice Aniawu, said a hunter shot the bird and brought it back home and noticed a ring with the inscription “JC 10802 Germania” tied to the legs.

The hunter should be arrested now. Those birds are migratory birds being monitored and studied. They help scientist study effect of global warming and the remedy for it. Why are we so primitive. The lottery you guys won is just a shear coincidence. Someone in that area should send the ring with the inscription number on it to the wild life office immediately
