Vodafone Ghana has announced three new appointments to its already established talent pool as it seeks to continue its leadership in creativity and innovation in the telecommunication industry.

The Telecommunication giant has been at the forefront of the changing telecoms landscape in Ghana since its entry into the market in 2008. Currently, an independent research into the network quality of the company against key competitors, has ranked Vodafone as the best in voice clarity and 3G internet speed.

Whiles there is no secret that the foundation of any telecommunication company is its network; the latest recognition for Vodafone’s network quality is a major statement of the company’s hard work in delivering value to its customers.

The new appointments are to strengthen three key units of the business;

Eric Tettey, formerly the Research and Investigations Advisor at Tullow Oil Ghana, takes over as Corporate Security Manager within the External Affairs function. Eric has twenty-one years of experience in Investigations and Intelligence; having also worked in the Department of Defence Intelligence in Ghana.

In his new role, Eric will lead the Corporate Security Team in building positive partnerships across the business and with key external stakeholders.

Martison Obeng-Agyei, formerly Chief Executive of EMG Multimedia, a marketing agency services provider, has been appointed the Head of Mass Market in the Marketing department. He was also previously with Airtel Ghana as Head of Mobile Commerce.

Amongst his key responsibilities will be to offer strategic direction and drive affinity to help the company win in the mass market space.

Supply Chain Management is integral to how companies manage the flow of their business processes. To reinforce this, Vodafone has appointed Theophilus Otchere, formerly the Supply Chain Implementation Manager at Cummins Ghana Limited as Senior Supply Chain Manager. Theophilus, who was also previously with Cadbury Ghana, will be expected to support the unit in delivering value to the business as it remains on course to provide unmatched experience to their customers.

Commenting on the new appointments, Stella Agyenim-Boateng, Director of Human Resources at Vodafone Ghana said;

“The dynamism in the telecoms sector means that companies must always find ways of staying relevant and attracting great talent. We are happy to be leading the way in this regard. As a company, we will continue to retain and attract the best people by offering them a motivating and inclusive workplace to develop into great leaders”.
