The Electoral Commission (EC) has given itself a high mark following the completion of the first batch of phase 1 of the ongoing voter registration exercise.
The first phase of batch one of the exercise which started on June 30, 2020, ended on July 5, 2020.
Even though the exercise has been marred with the flouting of the social distancing rule, the EC thinks the exercise has been generally successful.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Deputy EC Chairperson in charge of operations, Samuel Tettey said “after 1st batch of the first phase, the overall impression is very excellent and we can give ourselves 90 percent”.
Meanwhile, the second batch started on July 6 and will be ending July 11, 2020.
