A defeated NDC Parliamentary aspirant in the Ashiaman constituency, Anthony Afenyo has openly declared his intention to contest the December elections as an independent candidate.
His bone of contention is that the party�s leadership has been unfair.
Anthony Afenyo believes he can unseat the incumbent NDC Member of Parliament Hon. Alfred Agbesi.
I�m only responding to the call of the people and the faith they have in me. And the if the MP does not see that he has lost his popularity in the constituency and has managed to win the primaries, let�s go to the general elections and see,� he challenged.
Mr. Afenyo said his decision was made after a few days of intensive interaction with the people of the Ashaiman constituency
The Member of Parliament for Ashiaman, Alfred Agbesi has however, declined to comment.
