Some political pundits have welcomed the recent meeting between former President Rawlings and President Mills.
Kofi Adams, spokesperson to Mr. Rawlings revealed on Monday that the ex leader was at the Castle last week to check on the health of President Mills after he returned from the United States.
This is the first meeting between the two leaders in many months following Former President Rawlings� barrage of criticisms against the Mills administration.
Pollster Ben Ephson in an interview with XYZ News the meeting between the founder of the NDC and the President is good news for the ruling party. Political Scientist Kwasi Amakye also added that the move could improve the party�s fortunes.
�A house divided would not convince anyone that the NDC is ready to lead the country. The reconciliation is crucial for moral support. I don�t expect Mr. Rawlings to leave the NDC. �I expect him to stay in the country to help normalize conditions and the party�s fortunes� Mr. Amakye told XYZ News in an interview.
